OMG Mike is the best!. He just did a comprehensive, thorough inspection on the RV that I'm about to purchase. He delivered just what he told me he would and WHEN he would; a complete package, many pictures, great notes. Fortunately, the inspection revealed that the coach was maintained extremely well. The few issues he found were very useful in directing the RV dealer on addressing these before I plunk down my hard-earned cash on this huge investment. Mike did a pre-purchase inspection of a new class-C Entegra that we were planning to buy. I can't speak highly enough of his professionalism and the thoroughness of the inspection he did on the RV. He spent the entire day going over the unit outside, even in fairly cold weather and skipped nothing. He was friendly, polite, and took time to answer questions. As an engineer myself, it was clear to me he was competent and knowledgeable.  He found a number of issues that needed rectifying, one of which alone was worth the cost of the inspection. I highly recommend him to anyone planning an RV purchase.

Waited for the 2024's to come out and went to the Hershey Show and found a 2024 Jayco Alante that fit all our needs.  I had heard that Jayco had up'd their game and were now doing Quality Control before the RV's left the manufacturing facility.  Our last RV was a 2010 Forest River Superlight and at the very beginning we had an issue with what looked like foam coming thru the Wallpaper on the slide and were told by Diamond RV that this was normal.  Well it wasn't, it was an indication of a water leak.  So, do I trust dealers or manufacturers, hell no.  And seeing the issues that people have had in the last 2 years, I didn't want to drive off and have immediate issues.  And then have to bring the RV back to be serviced and have it sit there for weeks.  And like all dealers, the minute you pay for it, you become a ghost to them, so everything had better be working before you finalize payment.

I found Mike thru the NRVIA website and left a message.  He was at the Hershey show and when he got back gave me an immediate call and let me know what the inspection would entail and the levels of inspection I could choose from.   We set up the arrangements as soon as I knew the RV would be delivered to Pete's RV in Windsor CT.  Signed the contract and made sure he was paid promptly and that Pete's would have the camper set up with Propane, Water and Electricity and that it is not winterized.

Mike spent all day with this new RV, he was impressed with the changes that Jayco had made but still found issues with the gas supply line to the water heater, the blinker for the left side was bringing the camera on and then turning off after 2 seconds.  The Hot water heater was draining all over the ground and when they had installed the water filter, they had destroyed the O-ring, and all the compartment doors on the outside needed to be re-aligned.  Either they wouldn't lock (driver's side) or were out of alignment. (a fingers width difference from the piano hinge to the opening.)  Didn't need leaky compartments.    And of course, the weekend we went out to do a test run we had over 8 inches of rain.  And nothing leaked.

Just having the peace of mind when we left with the RV that even the minor issues had been fixed was a huge relief.  Yes, this was brand new, but didn't want to get out on our first camping trip and   have to deal with things not working.

Mike has a comprehensive list that he checks and verifies, including every outlet plug and USB connection.  And even I questioned myself on spending the money on the inspection.  But knowing that everything had been checked was well worth the money.  A friend of ours bought an RV 5 years ago and he is a mechanic and pretty savvy, He did his first camping trip and there were 34 issues that he found that had to be fixed.  He saw Mike's report and commented that if he had an inspection, he would not have had to spend a whole bunch of weekends fixing all the issues and waiting for the RV to be repaired.  Next RV he will be getting an inspection.

Do I recommend Mike, yes, and if you go to a dealer that tells you that you don't need an inspection on a new RV.  Don't even buy from them, go someplace else.

Mike did an inspection of a Heartland unit that I had purchased and was having warranty issues with.  He was super professional, extremely thorough, friendly and above and beyond helpful.  The report I received was organized, very detailed and included a ton of photos.  He sets the bar high for all other inspectors and I would 100% recommend him.  Thanks Mike!

GREAT guy, OUTSTANDING service!

We had Mike do a Premiere inspection of a used 2020 Lance 2185 we recently purchased. Given that we will be wintering it at our home we wanted to make sure that the unit was safe and that no gas lines came loose during transport from the dealership. I can't say enough about how thorough Mike was. He went over the entire unit, top to bottom, inside and out with a fine tooth comb. Each battery, every appliance, holding tank, drain, light, even every power outlet was tested! The peace of mind alone is worth the price, considering how long the inspection took (7 hours) and the comprehensiveness of the inspection report, is VERY reasonable! I was impressed with Mike's meticulous attention to detail, his patience with all my questions. He even showed me how to winterize the unit and repair cracks in the caulk around the skylights, which if neglected would have allowed water intrusion, a major nightmare waiting to happen! I really learned a LOT about our trailer and how, with a little preventative maintenance, we will be able to enjoy it for years to come. I would seriously encourage anyone considering purchasing an RV to have Mike do a pre-inspection. It could save you a LOT of money, not to mention headaches!
